Preview :: Dream of Death City by PJ Nwosu

I have been looking forward to PJ Nwosu‘s first dark adult fantasy novel DREAM of DEATH CITY since it was announced, and finally we are just a few days away from release. The author has kindly sent me a copy and I’m planning to get stuck into it tonight so I thought I’d share a little reminder to keep an eye out for this one or pop it on your holiday season wishlist.

Also, I saw a great pre-order deal on this one in the kindle store (99 cents! I suspect you might find similar with your ebook retailer of choice). A reminder too that in the lead up to Dream of Death City, PJ Nwosu has released a novella set in the same world – A Pale Box on the Distant Shore – which you can download free across ebook retail stores (and check out my review here), as well as a prequel short story you can read for free when you sign up to her newsletter (which I happen to love and raved a bit about here).

Read on below for the synopsis of Dream of Death City and make sure you let me know in the comments if you are also looking forward to picking this one up!

You can add Dream of Death City to your tbr on Goodreads here and keep up with the latest from PJ Nwosu on her website here.

Synopsis of Dream of Death City by PJ Nwosu

Pale moths haunt an icy frontier. Beneath the shadow of a drowned death god, a frozen body is unearthed from the snow.

Investigators arrive to a superstitious island to solve a brutal crime. Among them is a lowly slave desperate to prove her worth and a soldier with dark dreams. Neither are prepared for what they find.

Death City is a strange and violent frontier, and no one who survives comes back clean. First though, Thora and Diem must survive.

Welcome to the Red Kingdom.
