This week has been an absolute whirlwind the combination of heading back to (remote learning) school for term 4, with a short week (Monday was Labour day) AND changing our clocks for Daylight Saving Time has just completely thrown me off! I’m kind of glad to be back at school for the routine, but tbh I also love not having to stick to a schedule so getting back to it has been a bit trickier than I maybe expected.
For this week’s favourite I’m throwing right back to last Friday (not because it hasn’t been a good week, I just really want to talk about this!) and breaking the fourth wall a bit to tell you that one of the highlights of my week was spending some time chatting blogs with the lovely Anjali from This Splendid Shambles Blog.
This Splendid Shambles is a lifestyle blog with a focus on books, travel, craft, and blog tips. Anjali shares loads of free resources about blogging and content creation on her blog, as well as offering some more personalised courses and coaching. I was lucky enough to win a free 1:1 Blogger’s Power Hour to chat a bit about my blog, why I love doing it, and some of the things I find challenging or would like to improve.
We had such a great time chatting and I loved finding out a bit more about things like Google SEO, and formatting, as well as a few ideas to help with organisation and motivation.
I feel like it was perfect timing for me, since I’m currently working on planning Christmassy content, and this is totally my favourite (and most popular) time of year – it feels good to be heading into it with some fresh ideas/tips and extra motivation.
One of the things I am keen to do is connect more with the blogging community – so if you’re a blogger too do leave me a hello in the comments so I can come and visit you!
