Friday Favourites :: 6 August

One of my forever favourite things is seeing the love of books I inherited from my mum developing in my daughter, and this month she is putting her bookish passion behind a great cause by participating in the MS Readathon. I have wonderful memories of joining in with the MS readathon when I was a kid (I think everyone learned quickly to donate rather than sponsor me on a per book basis haha).

It has been really wonderful seeing her get into the planning and organising behind this – picking the books she wants to read, keeping a list (two actually – one at home and one at school) of what she has read, asking people to sponsor her. I’m hoping she might post some reviews of some of her favourite reads during the readathon too.

I think we might need to have a cosy reading night together soon!
