Review :: In the Event of Love
I requested a copy of Courtney Kae’s In the Event of Love right away when I saw it on NetGalley, for two main reasons. One, because the cover is so cute, and two – more importantly – I almost never see queer holiday romance novels around. Plus, I feel like sapphic love stories (ie between two women) are really not celebrated and represented as much or maybe as openly as other relationships in books I see around. Last week I made the big statement that I might have already found my favourite Christmas novel of the year – Sandy Barker’s The Christmas Swap – so this week I thought I’d share some of my favourites from the past few years. The Christmas Cookie Club has been my favourite Christmas book for adults since I borrowed it from the library in 2016. It’s a beautiful story about female friendship and the way women support eachother.
